Back Then...

I went through some really old photos the other night. It was fun and depressing all at the same time. It only confirms that my children are slowly but surely sucking every last bit of life out of me. I generously decided to share some of my favorites that I came across. Enjoy!

I love this one, Kimball thinks he looks like Dwight Schrute though...we look so young and...well rested
I think we were in some sort of club and for some reason Megan really wanted this to be our "signal".  The dresses were so sparkly, I think we blinded everyone from the stage with our sequen bosoms. The aviator classes were apparently optional.
Madrigal showcase, I wore this watermelon dress, I also wore it to senior prom. My mother was in love with it, she thought it was a sure fire way of nabbing Kevin Clawson and making him want to propose marriage right then and there.
Me and Carlye with some old lady that was really jazzed about us coming to spend the weekend at her Daughter's house for Madrigal retreat. Just look at how perfectly round her snow white hair is. I think she has it done at the salon once every couple of days.

How we Roll

Some exciting milestones have been reached here at our house. We've started
giving Aiden rice cereal. It was as if he'd been waiting since the day he was born to take his first bite. He's eating like a champ!

more exciting than that is he is now rolling over! Geez I can't believe he is almost 1/2 a year old. The only problem now is when he plays on the floor he promptly rolls over and then promptly starts crying cause he cant get back over!

Even MORE exciting than that is Mya is using the Potty!!! We are very proud of her. Her teacher says she likes to go when she sees all the other kids using the potty, so we're still working on getting her to go regularly here at home. Looks like we may not spend away all the kids' college money on diapers after all!

Christmas Spent In the Pond

Well I hope everyone's Christmas went well, before I explain the title I wanted to post some pictures of how ours went...Don't worry I'll keep the one's of me barfing all night long to myself. Got the Stomach bug Christmas Eve...it sucked...anyway..

Mya's First Barbie from her cousin...isnt she lovely..she looks like "Meteora" from The Christmas Toy...which I found at Target!
Play Food for her new Play Kitchen!
SpongeBob Squarepants...has already turned into a bedtime necessity.
Look what Santa brought!
The List of instructions for putting the Kitchen together..Santa owes Kimball big time

Sweet Aiden's first Christmas

The Wreckage after the Christmas Tornado came through...

Now before I forget..the title explanation..Before we left to return home, Chanda invited us to her house to try out this awesome tree swing that Earnie rigged up over the pond in the front of there house. Let me 'splain. Chanda has a cute little dome tucked away in the woods in front of which is a huge man made pond. In the summer the kids can swim, canoe, and as of recently, swing over it from a giant tree swing that you jump off a 15 foot high platform and swing out over the pond. Can you dig it? Well I love stuff like this so I'm all for it, the only thing making me nervous is getting off the swing once my momentum has stopped, so I say "Someone needs to catch me so I can get off"...here comes Karey, my brother (actually my BIL but since I dont have any brothers and we're the same age and fairly close..anyhoo..) to catch me, and by catch me I mean slide down the bank and stop himself from falling into the pond and leaving me to hang out in the middle with nothing to do but let go and swim back. So figuring I was already drenched I went ahead and got out, climbed back up into the tree and went back out on the swing and just jumped off into the middle of the pond...Oh well Life's short and it was Christmas after all, I thought I'd give everyone a laugh at my expense this year! Merry Christmas! If I get any pic or videos I'll be sure to post them!

13 Hams Later...

Ahhhh...the sweet sigh of relief....a) the christmas ward social is over,it went well. I think we had close to 300...wow.. A lot of people came up to me afterwards and said they enjoyed it. During meetings on Sunday, the Bishop already had ideas for next year...sheesh b) Kimball is on break until the 6th and his next rotation is an every other day attendance...what will I do with him around so much? c) We're moved in, its finally starting to feel like home. I took some pictures of course!

Fire place...we've had a fire already but are having to figure out the propane still
Master bedroom
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!....finally!
Kitchen...slightly bigger than the last...
Most favorite part about the new house...a play room! Mya loves playing in a room that she doesn't sleep in... for now its a room full of toys all to herself!
The other half of the play room...craft room/office
Bathroom
Second favorite thing about the house..the master bathroom still stays in commission when the toilet is being used because it has a separate door...Yay!

d) Surprisingly most of my christmas shopping is done, mostly since Kimball and I aren't shopping for eachother since we got a new couch and bookcase! Which we both love!

e) Rehearsals are over for the time being. I was invited to sing 3 musical numbers on Sunday and I'm happy with how it went. I'll actually miss having rehearsals a couple nights a week, not only because it got me out of the house, but because I'll miss the opportunity to do something I love and enjoy, but don't always make time for.

Anyway, right now Kimball and Mya are out shopping, my house is picked up, and the baby is asleep...what to do, what to do.....

Love Notes for my Birthday...

Snippets from my favorite birthday present this year...

To Holly,
My one and only Love, It has not been long since you first came into my life and changed it forever. I remember how lonely and frustrated I felt before I knew you. You have proven to be a light and beacon in my life...I hope you know what joy you bring to me. I hope you know what peace I am filled with knowing you are by my side...
"Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee; for whither thou goest, I will go and where thou lodgest, I will lodge; thy people shall be my people, thy God my God; Where thou diest, will I die." Faithfully yours, Kimball

For Kimball..

Physicians' Outlook on the Financial Bailout Plan

The Allergists voted to scratch it, and the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves.
The Orthopedists wanted to cast it in a different light.
The Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, but the Neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve, and the Obstetricians felt they were all laboring under a misconception.
The Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted.
The Pathologists yelled, 'Over my dead body!' while the Pediatricians said, 'Oh, grow up!'
The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, the Radiologists could see right through it, and the Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing.
The Internists thought it was a bitter pill to swallow, and the Plastic Surgeons said, 'This puts a whole new face on the matter.'
The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists felt the scheme wouldn't hold water.
The Anesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas, and the Cardiologists didn't have the heart to say no.
In the end, the Proctologists left the decision up to some rear ends in Washington.

( :-) Thanks Mer! Kimball's 2 favorite things to talk about.. Politics and Medicine...Perfect)
